Bayanihan: Bound by Resilience

My paintings are deeply inspired by my childhood memories. When we were young, our grandparents would take us to the beach every summer; this simple yet special treat became a  cherished tradition for our whole family. These moments of togetherness left an indelible mark on me, and they sparked my enduring love for the outdoors, particularly the tranquility of the ocean and the scenic beauty of nature.

Through my art, I seek to capture not just the beauty of nature, but also the stillness, quiet serenity and peace that it brings; reminding us of life’s simple yet profound moments. Each stroke of paint is my attempt to recreate the calm I feel when I’m surrounded by nature, especially those beaches in Alangilan, Laiya, Lemery and Calatagan in Batangas.

I find joy in preserving these fleeting, peaceful moments through my art. My hope is that it brings a moment of inspiration, reflection, and peace to my viewers, just as the landscapes I paint have brought to mine.
