THE SALINGPUSA TAGALOG THURSDAYS
CONVERSATIONAL TAGALOG LEVEL 1: For learners age 18 and up.
This introductory course is perfect for absolute beginners/non-speakers and those who can comprehend Tagalog by context but cannot speak it fluently. Our goal for this short but intensive course is to provide you with the core skills that you will need in your journey toward mastering conversational Tagalog.

- Incorporation of lessons in Philippine history, folklore, arts and pop culture
- (Optional) one-on-one, learner-led drills sessions to expedite proficiency
- Free audio-visual practice resources to supplement in-class learning
*Conversational Tagalog Level 2 will be offered in July 2026
* 3-day Tagalog Summer Camp for young learners will be offered in July 2026.
COURSE & REGISTRATION DETAILS
Delivery: Online synchronous via Zoom
Course duration: May 28 to June 25, 2026
Classes:
- 5 sessions
- Thursdays (May 28, June 4, 11, 18, & 25, 2026)
- 6:30 to 8:00 PM MST (1 ½ hour)
Course fee: $100.00 + GST
Approximate Class size: 20 learners (Additional classes may be arranged based on registration numbers)

Course coverage:
- Tagalog Pronunciation
- Fundamentals of Tagalog Grammar
- Introductions, greetings and expressions
- Understanding Tagalog sentence construction
Lesson structure:
Sessions will be conducted as interactive webinars where learners can engage with instructors. Sessions will incorporate exercises, visual prompts, pop quizzes and games
Learners will also be provided with free audio-visual resources they can access outside of scheduled sessions to complement their in-class learning and sharpen their “ear” for Tagalog pronunciation.
WITHDRAWAL & REFUND
Withdrawal deadline: June 3, 2026
Refund policies:
- Full refund – for withdrawals made prior to May 28, 2026
- Refund less $35 administrative fee – for withdrawals made between May 28 and June 3
DISCOUNTS
Family Discount: Members of the same household/family may be eligible for 15% discounts e.g. a brother and sister registering for the course will each pay only $85. Registrants will be responsible for providing proof of relationship. Discount applicable only to course fee and not to optional sessions. In the event of one family member withdrawing, the discount will be voided.

OPTIONAL SESSIONS
Drills Session: 15 minutes, virtual one-on-one session where learner will be drilled on learnings for optimum retention $20 to register.
