Tiktik and Manananggal
Acrylic on canvas
30 x 50
Set in a galley like AswangCon, the aswangs gather not to frighten but to feast. Savoring their favorite lambanog and sharing pulutan of tender organic frog.
Their tiyanak child, Isok, chases their pet sigbin, Buto, in a playful moment. It’s a family celebration of aswangs we grew up fearing … and somehow loving.
Jindra
I’m Jindra Bolo-Lardizabal, a Filipino Architect and first-time painter. I’m honored to share my painting in what is my first exhibit–this means so much to me as it brings to life the Filipino imagination.
Guided by Day Pajarillo, whose art carries an intuitive third eye energy and deeply rooted in Filipino Culture. I created this piece as a tribute to the stories I grew up hearing, folklore and family.
