Come and experience the myth, the magic, and the mysteries of Filipino mythology and folklore at AswangCon 2026!
On Saturday, November 7, an entire floor in the historic Lougheed Building will be transformed into Barrio Kahadlok, a rural village celebrating a joyful fiesta — while aswangfolk lurk in the shadows.
Wander through Barrio Kahadlok’s Plaza, where you can view works of art depicting age-old, aswang-related folklore traditions. Buy trinkets, treats, and other curiosities at the Tiyangge (marketplace). Play nostalgic Filipino street games, learn Baybayin at bingo, and make your own agimat at the Palaruan (playground). At the Tanggapan (barangay hall), solve the mystery of who killed Kapitan Igme as our plucky heroine cross-examines four supernatural suspects: Manananggal, Tikbalang, Tiyanak and Kapre.

Who killed Kapitan Igme?
Our intrepid ImbestigaDora needs your help! Step into the darker side of Filipino folklore with Who Killed Kapitan Igme? — an immersive 18-minute murder mystery performance where you will come face to face with suspicious aswang. Who is telling the truth? What are their motives? Get to know these supernatural creatures to uncover the truth behind the untimely death of Kapitan Igme.
Will you solve the mystery of Barrio Kahadlok, or will the aswang fool you?
Showtimes every 30 minutes from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, with 20 spots per timeslot. Suitable for ages 7 and up.
